Day 4: Pinetti Notte Pinot Grigio

Since I don't teach on Fridays, I often celebrate the end of my work week on Thursday evening with a glass or two of wine. I am a white-wine-in-the-summer-red-wine-in-the-winter kind of girl and generally prefer Pinot Grigio to Chardonnay, so tonight I chose this lovely bottle of Pinetti Notte Pinot Grigio, regularly $9.99 but on sale 2/$5.00 at my neighborhood Kroger. Turns out this wine won the Silver Medal in the 2011 Los Angeles International Wine Competition as well as the Silver Medal in the 2011 San Francisco International Wine Competition. All I know is that it tastes great - light and fruity, perfect for kicking back on a hot August night.

Time for another glass. Cheers!

Sounds great! I'm not a wine drinker at all. To unwind I enjoy a Hot Chocolate and I have a special way of making it so that it's more a dessert then anything lol.
Hope you enjoy your weekend :) Great pic!

Thanks, Leanne! You must share your secret recipe for Hot Chocolate! My now 15yo son made the box behind the bottle when he was a tiny little Cub Scout; the pink sun came from a little gift shop on a long-ago trip to Belize. It's the little things! :-)

I agree the little things r what makes life truly liveable at times :)
I will be happy to share my hot chocolate recipe :)
1 single Hot Chocolate package of Carnation Hot chocolate.
1 Sugar twin
Hot water
Can of Carnation Fat Free milk

In a big coffee mug put your packet of hot chocolate and sugar twin, add boiling hot water.
Leave enough room for lots of the can milk lol Stir and drink mmmmmmmmmmm

Way to spot the bargains! I'm unfortunately going on an anti-yeast diet after I finish this last round of antibiotics, so I won't be able to indulge for a few months.

Is it wrong that I like my wine chilled? I know some snobs say this one is supposed to be at this temp, etc., but I just like any wine at a cool temp.

So, have a glass for me, ok? Enjoy!

I would hate to be on a diet that excluded wine, Julee! On the other hand, if I were to abstain, it might be easier to lose this ten pounds I am trying to shed. I like my wine wine chilled and my red wine at room temperature but I am definitely not a connaisseur. I guess it's five o'clock somewhere, but I will probably wait until at least this evening to tip my glass to you, LOL!

It really is a good choice, Kat. If you get a chance to try it, let me know what you think!

That wine does sound yummy. And you know what Pam? I think you're going to have to teach me your techniques on doing food glamor shots. Everything you've taken pictures of have looked beautifully done.

Bryonna, that brand is still on sale at Kroger; I have a glass or two almost every night. There is a red wine, too. As for my photography, I really don't have any secrets, just a really good auto-focus camera. And I try to shoot from several angles, because the finished photos never look like I expect them to. Maybe we should spend an afternoon out taking pictures somewhere! Wouldn't that be fun?
